Kpop News – Dispatch did not feature TWICE’s Jeongyeon in the teaser poster for their tenth anniversary online concert, ‘D’FESTA’. The famous media in South Korea was also criticized by TWICE fans.
TWICE’s Jeongyeon Will Not Participate in ‘D’FESTA’
On March 23, 2022, Dispatch published a teaser for their anniversary concert, ‘D’FESTA’. The online concert is scheduled to air on April 8, 2022.
The released teaser shows footage of the existing artists. Along with the artist clip, the group logo and the names of the members are also visible. At first, everything seemed normal, until TWICE’s fandom, eagle-eyed ONCE noticed Jeongyeon was not included in TWICE’s line-up.
Upon closer inspection, TWICE’s Jeongyeon is clearly not included in the ‘D’FESTA’ static poster. There are only 8 TWICE members shown in the poster.
It is known, Jeongyeon will not participate in ‘D’FESTA’. She is currently recovering from her anxiety and panic disorder, as well as a herniated disc.
While Jeongyeon has already joined in a number of TWICE activities, such as their world tour in North America, there are other activities that she chooses to leave behind.
Due to not participating in the online concert, fans speculated that Dispatch chose not to include his name in the teaser. This choice made ONCE furious.
Fans emphasized that TWICE should always be promoted with 9 members, even if there are members who don’t participate in certain activities.
According to people, those 9 members are part of the real TWICE brand. Therefore, excluding any of them was a very disrespectful move.
Many ONCEs finally sued Dispatch to improve the situation by changing the teaser for TWICE. They also wanted the static poster to be edited and include a portrait of Jeongyeon.
ONCE has also trended the hashtag #DispatchRespectJeongyeon on Twitter. They confirmed Dispatch’s fault for leaving Jeongyeon out of the teaser. The hashtag was trending on Twitter with more than 12,700 tweets.
Until now, Dispatch has not responded to this matter. The teaser still only shows photos of 8 members and does not involve Jeongyeon.
Jeongyeon’s shy moment on the plane is trending again
Fans revisit TWICE’s Jeongyeon’s reveal on ‘Ask Us Anything‘ when the girl group made their special appearance. There, Jeongyeon revealed to the show’s cast and colleagues that she had an awkward fight with a passenger on the plane.
It all happened after Jeongyeon went to the bathroom not long after she got on the plane. Being in too much of a hurry, he forgot to lock the door.
