Ivan Gunawan Returns Funds to the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Related to the Pro DNA Case

Artist and designer, Ivan Gunawan, was recently caught in a fraudulent investment case, DNA Pro. This case also dragged the name of Ivan Gunawan as brand ambassadors.

Ivan Gunawan is known to have been brand ambassador that DNA Pro offered some time ago. He participated in promoting DNA Pro for investment purposes and was suspected of getting nearly 1 billion rupiah in funds.

“So my relationship is a professional relationship between the artist and DNA Pro. More or less. I told him everything from the first meeting to the end of the contract.” said Ivan Gunawan, Thursday (14/4/2022).

Recently, Ivan Gunawan received a call from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian Police. Dressed in all black, he went to the police station accompanied by his attorney, Sandy Arifin.

The man who is known as a mega star admits that he is trying his best while undergoing the examination process. He told the chronology of the initial contract offer, until the end of the contract.

Ivan Gunawan underwent an examination process of approximately 3.5 hours. Considered cooperative, Ivan Gunawan described his various involvements as: brand ambassador DNA Pro for those 3 months.

Ivan Gunawan Examined as a Witness

The designer who is familiarly called Igun received a call from the Criminal Investigation Police of the Police (14/4/2022). Igun was called as a witness for his alleged involvement with DNA Pro.

Igun admitted that the police asked questions regarding his involvement with DNA Pro. A total of 20 questions from the police were sent to Igun. It took up to 3.5 hours for Igun to respond to the case.

The Dittipideksus, Kombes Yuldi Yusman, said that Ivan Gunawan got a contract from DNA Pro for 3 months. The contract requires Ivan to get Rp 1,090,000,000 as cash brand ambassador.

“The contract is IDR 1.090 million. He (Ivan Gunawan) was paid to be a brand ambassador, ” Yuldi said to the media crew (14/4/2022).

Good Intention Return Money

“With my intentions and good faith, because I think the sustenance that God has entrusted to me is not or has not yet become mine,” said Ivan.

Igun has good intentions to return the money for that bogus investment. As a law-abiding citizen, especially when he knows the amount of losses suffered by DNA Pro victims. Igun is increasingly determined to return the money he should have received.

At least the intention was realized well. When he came to the police station for inspection, Igun brought the contract money from DNA Pro. He immediately handed over the money to the Dittipideksus Bareskrim.

He gave Rp 921.700.000 to the police for investigation. Meanwhile, the amount is considered appropriate, because a small portion has been deducted by taxes.

“So the total contract that DNA Pro gave me, today I have returned it,” said Ivan Gunawan.

Through his Instagram account, Ivan Gunawan informed the netizens that he had returned the money. While accompanied by the lawyer, he was seen posing casually in front of the Office of the Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes.

“Happy breaking fast, friends. I’m fine. All I run according to the capacity that I know so far. And today, with sincerity and initiative, I returned the money I had received while I was working yesterday. Thank you for the valuable lessons for my life.” explained Ivan Gunawan on April 14, 2022.

Fruitful Wisdom

Ivan Gunawan admitted that he received the disbursement of funds. But he only put himself as a brand ambassador. So he has no more involvement with DNA Pro.

Igun refused to reveal the amount he received when the contract with DNA Pro was still ongoing. He resigned and tried to provide another alternative, namely through answers from investigators.

“I don’t want to accept money from crimes. I don’t care what loss I get. The point is there is still a lot of halal sustenance that I can get, ” he insisted.

Through this case, Igun admits that he will be more careful. Especially when he received an advertising offer for brand certain. In addition, he will also be selective in accepting cooperation from any party.
