Kpop News – The girl group (G)I-DLE has officially returned to the K-Pop industry with their first full album, ‘I NEVER DIE’ and the title track titled ‘TOMBOY’ on March 14, 2022.

When they were promoting the song, they got an incident when appearing on one of the KBS shows.

This is (G)I-DLE’s first music release after a 1 year 2 month hiatus due to the former member’s bullying scandal, Soojin.

Even though there was a fairly long pause, the song ‘TOMBOY’ received a positive response from the Korean audience and almost achieved a Realtime All-kill.

Recently, members of the group (G)I-DLE appeared on the show ‘Snack Spree‘ from KBS Idol as a form of promotion for their new album. In the opening part, the CUBE Entertainment group performed a short snippet of the song ‘TOMBOY’.

However, there are interesting expressions from 2 members, namely Yuqi and Shuhua when they hear the phrase ‘F*ck’ in the chorus. Their reactions were highlighted by netizens. The two of them looked quite shocked after hearing the swear word.

The reason they panicked was because KBS played the wrong song ‘TOMBOY’ version of CD Only. The original version of the song does contain swear words that only fans who buy the album can hear, unlike the Clean version in the YouTube MV.

Previously, KBS said the two versions of ‘TOMBOY’ did not meet broadcasting standards. The CD version has a lot of inappropriate words, while the Clean version has a brand name, so the group had to revise the lyrics 3 times.

However, suddenly on this program, the CD version of ‘TOMBOY’ was played, surprising the (G)I-DLE members. Yuqi and Shuhua’s panicked expressions made the fans laugh.

Many fans also found it ironic that KBS played the original version of the song on its show despite strict censorship requirements. Many fans thought it was funny because even though the members sang the song themselves, they were surprised to hear their swearing in the song.

Talking about the completeness of members is a sensitive topic for the (G)I-DLE group to discuss now. One of his featured group members, Soojin already dropped out due to the bullying controversy.

(G)I-DLE has made a comeback with the album ‘I NEVER DIE’ and was immediately successful in the market. Using a cool concept, the song ‘Tomboy’ reached tens of millions of views on YouTube in less than a day.

Besides talking about their album, (G)I-DLE also talked about how they rearranged their old songs after Soojin left the group. They mentioned the iconic part of Soojin in a simple way.

On 1theK Originals’ YouTube channel, the 5-member group checked fans’ reactions to their new album, ‘I NEVER DIE’ which has been circulating on social media and online communities.

At the end of the video, the group reads facts and articles about (G)I-DLE on a popular online community in Korea.

While reading Theqoo, a video clip of their performance at the Dubai Expo on January 17th appeared, with the comment “The five of them sing, ‘Who’s Afraid?’ from ‘LATATA’.”

Indirectly they are trying to remember the figure of Soojin, a former member of (G)I-DLE. It was released as the title track of their debut episode, “I Am” in May 2018.

Soojin’s part singing the line “Who’s Afraid?” very iconic among fans especially Neverlands (fandom (G)-IDLE).

“I think I’m going to cry,” said Yuqi.

Jeon Soyeon said they were trying to overcome the void after Soojin left the group. They want to sing the song in that part together.

“When we were replaying this part, we thought that we should do it together, we thought that we could channel the enthusiasm (from former member Soojin) if we sang this part together. That’s what we want to say right now,” said Soyeon.

While listening, Yuqi became emotional. “I suddenly got emotional. I don’t know why but I’m really devastated,” he said.

Meanwhile, the group that originally had 6 members, (G)I-DLE was changed to a 5-member group after Soojin left the group due to the bullying controversy at school that surrounded her. Even so, all the (G)I-DLE members never stop saying that they really love Soojin on several occasions.
