Hated Because He Likes To Challenge TikTok With Other Idols
It is known, recently Jay Park collaborated with artist IU for his new song ‘GANADARA’.
Jay Park has been promoting singles with the dance challenge TikTok and Instagram Reels because it’s the best trend for introducing songs right now.
Not only that, he has also collaborated with K-Pop idols while doing it.
Meeting other idols and taking part in dance challenges are common ways to help them promote one another. While many idols do the ‘GANADARA’ dance challenge a lot, Jay also does the STAYC ‘RUN2U’ challenge.
Previously, Jay Park had done collaborative dance videos with quite a number of today’s K-Pop idols. Examples are Soyeon (G)I-DLE, Vernon and Hoshi SEVENTEEN (II), Jay B (JB) GOT7 and Mingi ATEEZ.
Apparently, the dance challenge caught the attention of haters and some fans of these idols. The comments section on any K-Pop idol’s post is filled with comments, most of them alluding to Jay Park’s past controversies. Some people suspect whether the idols were actually forced to do videos with Jay.
The malicious comments added to Jay’s latest meeting with ATEEZ’s Mingi. On Twitter, the words ‘Jay Park’ and ‘Mingi’ are trending, mainly for negative reasons.
Now, Jay has responded to the criticism. He posted a statement on Twitter and invited idol fans to reconsider their words.
Jay also requested that all hate comments be directed at him on his own account, rather than on other people’s accounts. So far, there have been comments from haters on ATEEZ’s Instagram because of the dance challenge.
Other fans have reminded fellow fans that Mingi once claimed to be a fan of Jay Park. By taking part in the dance challenge with Jay Park, of course this is a happy moment for Mingi because he can meet people he admires.
However, he got a lot of criticism from his own fans. Not wanting to make things worse, Jay told fans to stay calm and stop replying to haters’ comments.
“If you are my fans, I hope you don’t take revenge in the same way they did. No matter what people say, I’m blessed and grateful to live my life. I hope you guys do the same,” said Jay.
“I hope you focus more and see perceptions based on reality, not the Internet. I know how you feel, but just hold on and be busy,” continued Jay trying to educate fans so that there would be no fan war (war between fans of different idols).

Since stepping down from the CEO position at the two agencies he founded, AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, Jay is now in the soju business. After being released in mid-February, Jay Park’s product immediately sold well.
More than 30,000 people came to Jay’s first pop-up shop, Wonsoju, in just 1 week. Noted, 20 thousand bottles of Wonsoju have been sold out.
The success of this start-up business made Jay happy to see his bank account balance increase. But, in fact he was not too interested in money.
In March 2021, Jay admitted he didn’t hold any of his own personal money.
It’s nothing new for Jay to slowly show his modesty as a major artist. Jay Park also feels indifferent about how much money he earns, although some people don’t like his attitude.
“If I die, money won’t make me sad. Money will not miss me. But if I die, I’d rather people think of me and remember me as a good person,” Jay said.
“I’ve never been obsessed with money. I don’t even know how much money I have in my bank account. My mom and dad managed it all,” said Jay.
“If a friend needs help, I’ll ask my dad, ‘Well, can you send me 5 million won to this account?’. In my opinion, the boss of a boss is his own parents,” said Jay.
